Twenty-five years ago the first "Gathering" was held in a hall in Carter Lake, Iowa. The event celebrated the successful completion of Fr Jim Scholz's first year as Executive Director of CUES and was meant to be a thank you to all the CUES donors. As years went by, The Gathering continued to be an opportunity to honor those generous donors along with raising important support for the school. Many, many community volunteers have given their time, energy, and creativity to ensure The Gathering's annual success. This silver anniversary is a tribute to all those people. Honorary chairs for the evening are Jean and Ron Gordon and the event co-chairs are Sharon and Gregg Classen, Cathy and Pat Koley, Laura and Greg Schnackel. Mr. David Slattery will receive the Kenefick Award and Ms. Roxanne Alter will be the recipient of the Heart Award. An oral auction of artwork designed by artists from the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and inspired by the students of Sacred Heart School will be held after dinner.
