Academics, Citizenship and Effort Recognized at Sacred Heart School

November, 2011 – Sacred Heart School celebrated their Honor Roll students at the morning assembly on November 4.  The ACE of Hearts Honor Roll program is not only recognizing students for their academic achievement, but also for their citizenship and effort in the classroom.  At the assembly, forty-four students who exemplify what a Sacred Heart School student should be were recognized.

Under the ACE of Hearts program, students have the opportunity to be recognized for their academic skills and/or citizenship and effort skills.  For the first quarter, which ended on October 21, seven students were acknowledged for meeting the academic requirements, twenty-six students for the citizenship and effort skills, and eleven students who met the criteria in both areas.

To receive the academic honor, a student has to be in the third to eighth grade and has to maintain an 85% or better grade in all of the classes they are enrolled in.  To be eligible for the citizenship and effort honor, a student has to show attributes of the Sacred Heart School Creed: demonstrate respectful behavior, accept constructive criticism, contribute positively in the classroom, and be fair and honest.  All students are eligible for this recognition.  Those students meeting both the academic and citizenship and effort criteria receive a special recognition.
